Bringing Down the Giant
The 9th of May 2018 was indeed a historic moment in Malaysian political history as the people of Malaysia witnessed a remarkable achievement in a meaningful transformation of the nation towards eradicating kleptocracy and reducing the burdens in cost of living rendered by the infamous Goods & Services Act (GST) that was introduced by the previous Government.
This went on to prove how powerful the digital social media has become, and the extent of its outreach and ability to influence the minds of the growing and more sophisticated voting population. The digital era has indirectly and directly brought about the victory of the Opposition coalition party and expose of the irregularities and various misconducts of the previous Government that had ruled the nation for 5 decades. The people has finally come to their senses and proved not gullible to the political gimmicks / tricks of the Barisan Nasional (BN) government anymore.
Kudos to all Malaysians who have voted wisely that resulted in the discontinuation of BN's corruptive rule. Moving forward, we hope to see a significantly better Malaysia and hopefully it will return to its glorious Asian Tiger days and transformed into a respectable international economic force and a perfect example of a multi-cultural nation proud of its unbreakable mutual understanding and tolerance amongst the various ethnic groups.
